Memorial Service Live Streaming - Royal Navy, Portsmouth, Hampshire

Memorial Streaming for Royal Navy Soldier at St. Barbara's Church, Whale Island, Portsmouth, Hampshire

It was a very windy day when I travelled to Whale Island, HMS Excellent, located in Portsmouth Harbor to provide the Memorial Streaming for a soldier of the Royal Navy. The service was held at St. Barbara's Church, which is situated on the island. We were asked to provide the Live Streaming for Dean’s memorial service, with two discreetly positioned cameras at the back of the church. Deans Funeral took place in Australia which was viewed in the UK. So, this was his Memorial Service, which would allow friends in Australia to be part of the ceremony and pay their respects to their former colleague.

We were asked to provide the Live Streaming for the Memorial Service

Providing Funeral streaming and Memorial Streaming services has become increasingly important over the last few years since the pandemic. Technology has made it possible for loved ones to participate in events from afar. This was certainly the case for Dean's Memorial Service, which was streamed live to friends in Australia.

During the Memorial Service, friends and family members paid tribute to Dean’s life. His charming personality and his absolute dedication to his family & country were highlighted, as he served with passion. It was such a touching tribute to a life well lived.

Dean's Memorial Service was also an opportunity to celebrate his service to the Royal Navy and the sacrifices he made to protect his country. It's important to honor those who serve in the armed forces and pay tribute to the sacrifices they make. Whale Island, with its rich history and importance to the Royal Navy, was a fitting location for his Memorial Service.

At the end of the service, a British flag was presented to the family, a symbol of the country's appreciation for his service, sacrifice, and dedication to the country. Two military personnel played the bugler, sounding the notes of the Last Post. The Last Post is a powerful symbol of the sacrifices made by those who serve in the armed forces. It highlights the importance of the service member's contribution to the country and the sacrifices made by all those in the armed forces.

The live streaming of Dean's Memorial Service is a testament to the power of technology in bringing people together, even across great distances. It's incredible to think that friends and family members in Australia were able to participate in this service from so far away. it was an absolute priviledge to make this happen and facilitate and allow people from the other side of the world to take part and say goodbye.

Dean's Memorial Service was an opportunity to celebrate his life and service to the Royal Navy. The church where his Memorial Service took place, on Whale Island, is steeped in history and tradition and was certainly a fitting location to pay tribute to his life and service.
