Wandsworth Funeral Videographer: St Anne's Church in London

As a London funeral videographer, I've had the privilege of filming numerous funeral services and capturing emotional, heartfelt tributes in so many beautiful churches across London. Recently, I had the honour of filming and documenting the funeral of Sir Robert Malpas and his amazing life which spanned from 9 August 1927 – 18 June 2023.The funeral service took place at St. Anne's Church in Wandsworth, a beautiful Church and also the perfect backdrop for family and friends to gather and say goodbye to this towering figure.

Funeral Videography is about sensitively capturing those delicate, fleeting moments, those shared smiles amidst the sorrow, and those quiet instances of reflection that truly encapsulate the person being remembered. My aim is to create a keepsake that tells the story of the day and, in doing so, offer a tribute to the individual's life, achievements, and legacy.

Wandsworth Funeral Videography for Sir Robert Malpas at St. Anne's Church:

Sir Robert Malpas led an illustrious life and left an indelible imprint on the world of business and engineering. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1927, he eventually moved to the UK to study mechanical engineering at Durham University. After graduating with first-class honours in 1948, he embarked on a career path that led him to become an influential figure in the global business arena.

After a stint as the president of Halcon International in the United States, he returned to the UK and joined BP as a managing director. Post-retirement from BP, Sir Robert became the chair of PowerGen. Here, his passionate advocacy for energy conservation and pollution reduction was evident, underscoring his deep commitment to sustainable industry practices. His transformative work didn't stop there. At Cookson, he played a key role in evolving the company into a leader in the fields of electronic materials, industrial ceramics, plastics, and engineered products. His resilience and determination were further showcased when he, as co-chairman of Eurotunnel, played a pivotal role in the company's recovery after a devastating fire.

In addition to his many directorships, Sir Robert was recognised with several honours for his invaluable contributions to industry and society. Of particular note, he was awarded the SCI's prestigious Society Medal in 1979 and served as President of SCI from 1988-89.

In providing funeral videography for this funeral, my aim was to sensitively encapsulate the essence of the day, the heartfelt goodbyes, the tributes, the respect, admiration and the love of those gathered together. It was so abundantly clear throughout Sir Robert Malpas' farewell service, that he had made such a profound impact on those celebrating his remarkable life.
