Yorkshire Funeral Photographer - Funeral ay Dewsbury Minster

It’s been such a busy 18 months with most of my time taken up by Funeral Streaming throughout the Pandemic. So after travelling 64,000 miles and livestreaming over 400 funerals, it’s was a refreshing change to get back to photographing a funeral. On this occasion I travelled up to Yorkshire to capture this Military Funeral. The family had a real celebratory approach to the day, remembering the good times, drinking champaign, laughing as they shared stories and caught up with friends and family they hadn’t seen for a while and giving Carl the send off he wanted.

The Family met at Eric F Box Funeral Directors in Dewsbury. Once his coffin had been lifted onto the Horse & Gun Carriage, He then made his final journey to Dewsbury Minster. After we arrived at the Minster, the Flag bearers led the way through the traffic to the front of the church, once the service got under way friends and family shared tributes and stories of Carls Life. After the service finished we headed to Dewsbury Crematorium for the final blessing followed by the wake where their was a lovely display of photos and memorabilia for everyone to look through.
